Grandma's Recipes One By One!

No-Bake Salted Peanut Bars

on July 7, 2014

This is the time of the summer when we need to be able to make things that don’t heat up the kitchen. These bars will do the trick. There aren’t many recipes in Grandma’s box that are cut out of the newspaper. Most of them are hand written and now we know why she kept this one! These bars are very easy and quick to make up without any extra heating of the house.

No-Bake Salted Peanut Bars

These just melt in your mouth!

Here is the recipe as I made it:

No-Bake Salted Peanut Bars

Melt in double boiler or in a glass bowl in microwave:

1 12 ounce bag of chocolate chips (I used milk chocolate)

1 11 ounce bag of butterscotch chips

1 1/2 cups peanut butter

Cool.

Add:

1 cup salted peanuts

3 cups mini marshmallows

Mix well and spread in 9″ x 13″ pan.

I sprayed the pan with non-stick spray and they came right out and were easy to cut.

The first three ingredients melted up so smooth and creamy.

Everything is mixed in and ready to go into the frig.

The bars come out of the pan easily and then it’s easier to cut them. I would store them in the frig so they don’t get too soft.

Cutting them before storages makes it easier to reach into the frig and grab one!

These bars are so good and so easy.

Don’t heat up your kitchen

Make these no-bake bars!
